Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?I can't believe the man who saved the Grand National series is not on the list, Ralph Seagraves, RJR, he turned Nascar into the Winston Cup... and what it was, before the " New Generation" of politicly correctness hit the scene !
Guess he worked for a tabacco co. and " Thats Bad " lol .. |

Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?Just read your comment, Mikey. Chris Economaki should be on the list.
NASCAR is about 40 years late in getting this started but they decided they need to manufacture enthusiasm. The guys that helped build the series will be ignored. |

Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?I am going to say this about the list and I may catch some flack about it, but it wouldn't be the first time I caught flack about a subject would it.
There are two people on that list that I don't believe belong on it. They are: Richard Childress and Rick Hendrick While very successful owners and maybe 10 to 15 years down the road maybe they should be considered, But not now. I would think that a writer like Chrs Economaki and maybe a Dale Inman, Krik Shelmerdine, Waddel Wilson, any number of crew chiefs that won championships that I'd put before Richared or Rick. At least Richard drove while Rick got into the sport for the money and maybe some for the love of the sport. |

Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?Mikey, I find it hard to argue against just about everybody on the list of 25. I went with the guy who started it, the two drivers with the most championhsips, an owner, and a broadcaster. Just picking 5 wasn't easy.

Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame?Section, while I don't think Dale Sr. should go in on the First ballot I cannot fault you for putting him there. I forgot my David Pearson in my top 10 and he should be there probably before Senior and Waltrip.
The only fault I found with the list was they left Chris Economaki off the list. He should have been there as the lead Journalist that kept the public somewhat abreast as to what was going on in the Racing world. |

Who makes it into the NASCAR Hall of Fame? Here is the top 5 for me. I chose a founder, 2 drivers, an owner, and a television broadcaster
WILLIAM H.G. FRANCE - Has to make it, without Big Bill there is no NASCAR. RICHARD PETTY - The King, 200 wins and 7 Championships nuff said DALE EARNHARDT - 7 Championships speaks for itself. He goes in fittingly as #3. I know some will poo poo this selection, but it is my choice. JUNIOR JOHNSON - Successful as a driver with 50 wins, and success as an owner. BENNY PARSONS - Had a successful career as a driver, and became one of the best commentators. |
